CHURCH-WIDE Baptism
We are excited to have our church baptism!
Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His life and resurrection.
We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a real follower of Jesus, you are a living example of Jesus, and you are part of the family of Jesus.
Important: Should you be baptized again?
Baptism is meant to show that you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus, to live in a way that reflects Him, and to be part of His family. If your baptism didn’t really represent that choice, then being baptized again is the right step. At Jesus City, we also believe baptism is only for those who can personally express their own faith — which means we don’t baptize young children until they’re able to understand and explain for themselves what baptism is all about.
